JACKPOT RANCH

Danimals was fun, but so was Jackpot Ranch…By: Steve Haughelstine
I showed up a little late at Jackpot ranch, but still managed to do a little riding before it got dark. These ranches up here in central California are so much fun, all jumps are 3rd or 4th gear jumps with nearly 4 seconds of air time! So much fun, here are some pics and a Go Pro video. On the video, I had a little 4th gear crash, and you can see my body fly out of the screen!! Fun stuff, ha ha, well I got lucky I guess, because I was only sore, and my jersey was full of bushes, but I didn’t get hurt! I guess thats what happens when you cant see the takeoff ramp because of dust and sun glare, and decide to land on the side of the landing instead of the top….

Nick Dunne has been getting better and better every time I ride with him. Check out this huge Kiss Of Death he threw, keep it up Dunne! PHOTO: John Reiser

I have been working on my left Whips, I normally Whip to the right. I should get a medal or something. PHOTO: John Reiser

Blake “Bilko” Williams not only flipped at Danimals, but at Jackpot’s as well. PHOTO: John Reiser

It is good to see Andy Morgan back rippin it up after his bad crash last year. PHOTO: John Reiser

Well I am back from Danimals Domain….by: Steve Haughelstine

Just got back from my mini road trip to Jackpot ranch on day one and Danimals on day two. Stay tuned, I will post up the Jackpot ranch photos soon! AND a Go Pro clip of me eating major crap on a 4th gear jump!!! But until then just feast your eyes on this!

The crew at the top of the road jump, Left to right: Bilko, Jay, Sani, Grant, the girls, and Potter. Don’t know what the girls are up to though.

Film maker Jay Schweitzer invited Josh Grant out to Danimals to make it his first time out to the massive floater jump line.

Josh Grant shows why he is a top racer, he can ride anything, even throw the bike upside down off a massive 130 ft. freeride floater.

Dustin Miller made the drive all the way from Nevada to come ride at Danimals.

It’s Miller time, as they say. Dusitn made the trip worth while, just had some fun riding his dirt bike.

Schweitzer had the Heli out filming for “On the Pipe 6”??? could it be possible?

Blake “Bilko” Williams became the first ever to back flip out at Danimals, raising the bar yet again for freeriding.

Potter was the second ever to Back Flip out at Danimals, even though he thought of flipping the jump first, ha ha, but he did manage to throw a Heelclicker Flip off the same 130’ jump Bilko flipped.

Well it was another good trip to Danimals Domain, thanks for everything Dan, especially the wine!!! Woo Hoo! I can’t wait to go back next time!

Its that time again, to head up to the big jumps…By: Steve Haughelstine
Danimals is a spot north of Santa Barbara made famous by Jay Schweitzer in his motocross film series “On the Pipe”, and home to the longest freeride line in the world. The biggest jump measures in at around 180’, so this place is not for wussies. I am a fan of huge floater jumps, so when im not filming, I will be on my bike, flying through the crisp air, above the nice green grass. Here are some pics, and a vid I got off youtube that someone stole from “On the Pipe 4” I will update this the end of next week after the shoot. Until then, Enjoy…
